Mijn allerliefste Minkatje. 7 oktober moest ik je loslaten met enorm veel pijn in mijn hart. Je was het allermooiste wat ooit, ook onverwachts in mijn leven was gekomen. We hadden van dag één al direct een heel sterke band, die maar weinig mensen kunnen begrijpen. Je wist beter dan dokters en profs wanneer ik hartritmestoornissen had of wanneer ik niet goed was... wat achteraf werd bevestigd als ze de gegevens op papier zagen. Je was echt mijn alles en dit verlies is nu zo heftig... Plots werd leukemie vastgesteld en alles ging zo vlug, dat ik volledig gebroken ben van verdriet en pijn... Ik moest eraan denken je te laten inslapen en ik wou je nog zolang bij me hebben... maar ik wou je ook niet onnodig laten lijden. Zelfs toen je al zo ziek was, maar het niet toonde, bleef je nog waken over mij. Zo'n speciaal en sterk katje was je. Je wordt zo enorm hard gemist. Het enige waaraan ik me nu kan vasthouden, is de hoop dat we elkaar ooit terug gaan zien, zonder nog ooit afscheid te moeten nemen. Ik hield van je met gans mijn hart. Mocht je kunnen overleven hebben op de grootte van mijn liefde voor jou, zou je eeuwig hebben blijven leven. Niets zal jou ooit kunnen vervangen. Je was zo uniek.

Ik las uw berichtje over uw lieve poes Minka. Veel zal u hier niet aanhebben, maar wil u toch even sterkte wensen met uw dierbaarste verlies. Mijn hart brak met het lezen van uw verhaal. Maar Minka zal dit altijd hebben onthouden hoe goed u ervoor zorgde. En is u dankbaar want u bent degene die haar toch uit haar lijden heeft verlost. Hopelijk mogen jullie elkaar ooit terug zien en voor altijd samen blijven! Maar hou u voor nu vast aan de mooie momenten met Minka. Koester deze! Minka zou niets anders willen dan dat u vrolijk bent. Hij/zij ziet u nog altijd zo graag lachen. Ze waakt nu over u in de poezenhemel.
